Orienteering
The terrain of Salla offers nature experiences to those enthusiastic about orienteering. The Sallan Karhut (Salla Bears) sports club has an orienteering group that runs orienteering activities in Salla. The area has an emit orienteering system and uses digital maps.
During the summer, orienteering tracks are arranged weekly, and the participants range from babies to grandparents. Also two solid tracks are in any time during the summer&fall. Orienteering competitions are also held in Salla. The arranging of the exercise course and competitions is based on active communal volunteer work and by a local sport club Sallan Karhut.
